ONLINE FUNDRAISING FAQ New for 2011! Record Your Offline Pledges (pledge form donations) Online!
Are you a walker and wish to record your offline donations (cash and cheques)?
No problem! Simply log in and visit your fundraising page,
Click the "Sponsor Me" button, then enter the donation with the complete donor information (not your own personal information)
Just remember to change the Payment Method to "Offline Payment".
Please ensure that you place a checkmark for offline donations on your pledge form.
Thank you for recording your collected cash and cheque donations on your online fundraising page. You will notice that when you do so, your sponsors’ names will appear in your scroll.
Donations will appear in your thermometer once the funds are received on walk day and verified by The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Tax receipts for cash and cheque donations will be issued after the fall walks occur.
To invite team members/ and solicit donations, follow these steps: (1) On the event home page, click the Login menu on the left hand side of the page. Enter your username and password (2) Click on the Fundraising Centre option, also on the left hand menu. This will open more options to you. (3) Click on the ‘Send Emails’ link within this menu. (4) Select the template email or blank email template from the Template Field (third field down). Most events will have a ‘Join My Team’ and a ‘Please Sponsor Me’ email template as a default. (5) Enter a greeting if you wish and the email addresses of the friends, family and colleagues who you want to join your team (remember to include just one address per line) or send the email to your personal email and forward it to your friends and family using your personal address book. (6) Click on the ‘Send’ button. The email will include a direct link to register for your team or donate to you. All users need to do is click the ‘Join Team’ link.
To change your message on your personal page, follow these 4 easy steps: (1) Log-in using your username and password on the left menu.
(2) Click on the ‘Personal Page’ button on the left. (3) Click ‘edit page’ at the top.
(4) An edit icon will appear on the right side of the message box. Click on the icon. (5)Edit the message and save.
To insert a picture on your personal page, follow these easy steps:
(1) Log-in using your username and password on the left menu.
(2) Click on the Fundraising Centre on the left menu.
(2) Click on the ‘Personal Page’ link on the left..
(3) Click on ‘edit page’ at the top.
(4) An edit icon will appear on both the right side of the message box and the default image. Click the edit icon on the right side of the logo. (5)Click on ‘import your image’. Click ‘Browse’ and search through your files for the image you want to post. When you have found the image click on the ‘upload’ button and then save the image. NOTE: Images should be less than 100 kb and less that 500 pixels wide.
To set or change your fundraising goal, follow these 5 easy steps:
(1) Log-in using your username and password,
(2) Click on the Fundraising Centre option on the left side menu,
(3) Click on the ‘Edit Profile” option on the left.
(4) Edit the goal amount. (5) Click on submit. Be sure to check back and increase your goal once you reach your initial goal as this encourages people to continue to give.
Note: Team Captain's have access to personalize both their individual fundraising pages and the team page.
