Don lost both legs due to his diabetes and he now gets around now on two prosthetic legs. Don volunteers to talk to other people who are losing a limb, providing positive and inspirational support. In BC 39 kidney transplants were completed as of March 23, 2010. According to BC Transplant, as of that date 244 patients were still waiting for a life-saving kidney. If 100% of BC’s population registered to be organ donors, the waiting list would disappear! Kidney disease is growing by epidemic proportions.
